BlockBeats News, July 7th. Huawei's first "Teen Geniuses" group member, Li Bojie, complained about his interview experience with DeepSeek on social media, stating that he was accused of cheating during a coding interview and therefore decided to terminate the interview on the spot. This complaint quickly sparked a new controversy. Former investor and co-founder of Web3 investment firm ABCDE, Du Jun, publicly accused Li Bojie of "lacking a spirit of contract." Du Jun accused Li Bojie and his partner, Zhuang Siyuan, of founding Metagent in 2024, receiving investment from ABCDE, and then refusing to fulfill the obligation of synchronizing finances and business progress as agreed upon in the contract, eventually disappearing without a trace. Du Jun stated that he could accept various project failures, but could not accept the fraudulent behavior of founders taking the money and running.
In response, Li Bojie stated that "the investment agreement stipulated that ABCDE Capital's investment amount was $1.5 million, but only $500,000 was actually received, and the remaining $1 million has never been received. The company's cap table still records the institution's equity based on the $1.5 million share. Due to the delayed investment, both he and the co-founder voluntarily reduced their salaries, and the company's recruitment and R&D faced difficulties.
In October 2024, due to personal family reasons and the non-compliance of the Web3 project, he could not leave mainland China, so he resigned from Metagent and received approval from the board. He stated that up until his resignation, as the CTO and co-founder, he had always fulfilled his duty to disclose the cap table and business situation on time, and in accordance with the non-compete clause in the agreement, his subsequent entrepreneurial projects intentionally avoided the Web3, AI infra, image generation, and other fields."
