On July 6th, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao tweeted, sharing a behind-the-scenes video of himself during the photoshoot for his autobiography, "The Binance Story." In the video, he recalled a tearful moment the night before his plea deal, and reflected on his newfound understanding of freedom, reputation, trust, forgiveness, and life choices. He believes that blockchain represents "financial freedom," while AI brings "intelligent freedom."
Having experienced a loss of personal freedom and information freedom, he realized that what truly matters is not money, but health, family, and meaningful connections. Regarding forgiveness, he mentioned that Trump's pardons only restore a reputation and do not change the actions one has taken. Reputation can only be regained slowly over time through actions. After facing adversity, he chose not to define himself as a winner or loser but emphasized having less resentment and taking more meaningful actions, continually striving to do things that add value to others.
