The initial jobless claims in the United States for the week ending June 20 came in lower than expected, while the core PCE price index for May met expectations.

The final reading of the US first-quarter actual GDP growth rate was 2.1% on an annualized basis, higher than the expected 1.60% and unchanged from the previous estimate. The US core PCE price index for May showed a 3.4% year-on-year increase, in line with market expectations, reaching a new high since October 2023.
