Vance announces positive progress in US-Iran negotiations, reopens the Strait of Hormuz, Iran agrees to invite inspectors for a revisit

Vice President Vance of the United States announced that the Strait of Hormuz has been reopened, and both the US and Iran have established a long-term mechanism to ensure the smooth passage of the strait. He mentioned that the Vienna talks have made significant progress, with negotiations between the two parties lasting until around 1 a.m., laying a solid foundation for reaching a comprehensive agreement.


On the nuclear issue, Vance disclosed that Iran has agreed to allow IAEA inspectors to revisit, signaling a substantial breakthrough in the negotiations. Regarding the situation in Lebanon, Vance expressed his hope to ensure that all parties maintain appropriate coordination.


Vance also emphasized that there is still a lot of work to be done. Technical-level negotiations will continue in the coming days and weeks, with the technical team following up. He added that if Iran makes any false statements, President Trump will respond. Vance stated that he would soon return to the United States upon the conclusion of the negotiations.
