Qatar-Pakistan Joint Statement: US-Iran First Round of High-Level Talks Conclude, All Parties Agree on 60-Day Roadmap

BlockBeats News, June 22: Qatar and Pakistan issued a joint statement. The statement noted that the first round of high-level talks held under the US-Iran understanding memorandum has concluded in Switzerland. Building on the memorandum of understanding, all parties agreed to establish a high-level committee to provide political oversight for the mediation work. The chief negotiator will regularly report to the high-level committee. The high-level committee has agreed on a timeline to reach a final agreement within 60 days, laying the groundwork for immediately commencing further technical talks.

Furthermore, all parties agreed to establish a Conflict Resolution Coordination Group between the relevant parties and the Republic of Lebanon, assisted by the mediators, to ensure the termination of military operations in Lebanon in accordance with the memorandum of understanding. For the remainder of this week, technical talks will continue in the Swiss resort of Villars-sur-Ollon on all issues.
