Trump on Midterm Elections: Denies Diminished Power, Calls Polling Decline "Fake News"

BlockBeats News, June 20th: During an interview with Axios, U.S. President Trump discussed whether his presidency was coming to an end, stating that he did not believe it was the case and that there was still two and a half years left. Refuting the notion that a president usually loses control of the House of Representatives during the final midterm election of their second term, with a decline in approval ratings and a weakening of power, Trump dismissed this as "fake polls." He claimed that his poll numbers were very good, with a 25-point advantage over any opponent. Trump mentioned that there are still some "very significant and impactful" things to accomplish in the remaining two and a half years, including correcting what is not good and making things that are already good even better.

Regarding the White House renovation, Trump mentioned that they are constructing "one of the greatest banquet halls and security nets in the world," equipped with bulletproof glass and a roof capable of countering drones. This renovation does not require Senate approval, with funding coming from himself and companies like Apple and Microsoft, without the need for appropriation. Washington D.C. has transformed from a "death trap" to one of the safest cities in America.
