WeChat Pay Launches AI Exclusive Card: Separate Main Account with Transaction Confirmation, WorkBuddy First to Access Meituan Lifestyle Consumption

According to Monitor Beat, WeChat Pay has officially launched the AI-exclusive card designed for the smart body payment scenario, the AI AgentPay Card. Tencent's desktop office assistant, WorkBuddy, version 5.1.1 and above for Mac has been fully integrated, and has partnered with Meituan to launch the Meituan Life Assistant Expert.

Users can input their consumption needs such as coffee and group buying in the WorkBuddy dialog box, and the smart body can then complete filtering, recommendations, ordering, and payment initiation within the conversation flow. To ensure fund security, the AI-exclusive card is physically isolated in the WeChat balance, and the smart body cannot access the WeChat Pay main account. Users can independently top up or withdraw funds from the card, and every payment initiated by the smart body requires user verification on the mobile end to proceed, without automatic deduction in the background.

In addition to instant purchases, users can also set up scheduled tasks for the smart body to automatically obtain Meituan coupons daily. At the AI Industry Application Conference on June 5, Tencent Cloud Vice President Liu Yi mentioned that he hopes the assistant can also meet dining and ticketing consumption needs while in the office. WeChat Pay revealed that they will open further access to more compliant smart body platforms in the future.
