Since the signing of the agreement by Trump for the first time: WTI crude oil has fallen by 15.8%, with a whale making a same-day short position with a floating profit of $3.45 million

BlockBeats News, June 17th, according to Hyperinsight monitoring, since the early morning of June 12th when Trump called off the strike against Iran and explicitly stated arrangements to sign a peace agreement, WTI crude oil has fallen back from its high by 15.8%.


Recently, as details of the US-Iran agreement have been gradually disclosed and the market's expectation of the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz has increased, WTI crude oil once again fell below $75 today. WTIOIL on Hyperliquid is currently trading at $74.92; since the official start of the US-Iran war on February 28th, the oil price has retraced 87.7% of its gains.


A whale on Hyperliquid opened a short position on June 12th, shorting 42,139 contracts of WTIOIL with 20x leverage, with a position value of about $31.57 million. The current unrealized profit of this position has reached $3.45 million, with a return of about 200%. The average entry price was $83.10, making it the largest short position on the platform for WTIOIL.
