ficonTEC, a subsidiary of Robotechson, is collaborating with NVIDIA to develop next-generation CPO and photonic interconnect technology.

BlockBeats News, June 16. According to an official announcement, Robotech indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary ficonTEC (100% group shareholding) today announced that its cooperation with NVIDIA continues to make progress. The two parties are collaborating to develop a scalable manufacturing and testing solution for Next-Generation Co-packaged Optics (CPO) and AI-driven optical interconnect infrastructure.

This cooperation combines NVIDIA's leading advantages in AI infrastructure and CPO architecture with ficonTEC's 25 years of technical expertise in high-precision photon device alignment, automated assembly, and optical testing systems. Both parties are advancing the development of advanced manufacturing and testing methods to accelerate the industrialization of next-generation silicon photonics devices and optical engines in hyperscale AI data centers.

ficonTEC stated that this collaboration highlights the importance of an advanced photonics manufacturing ecosystem. The future large-scale deployment of AI infrastructure will increasingly rely on an advanced manufacturing system that can support high-volume production, process consistency, yield optimization, and the scaled implementation of optical interconnect technology.
