Google is reportedly in talks with Samsung to co-develop the next-generation chip.

BlockBeats News, June 11th - According to The Information, amid the current manufacturing capacity crunch, chipmakers are actively seeking suppliers beyond TSMC. It is reported that Google (GOOG.O) is considering having Samsung Electronics play a key role in producing its next-generation AI chip.


The report states that Google is in talks with Samsung to use Samsung's 2nm process to manufacture some components of its next TPU (codenamed "Icefish"). The collaboration with Google could elevate Samsung's position in the field of advanced chip manufacturing.
