According to Data Beat monitoring, the Alibaba Group announced that Chen Hang (nickname Wu Zhao) has stepped down as the CEO of DingTalk. He will be succeeded by Chen Yushen, born in 1992 and the head of the MuleRun AI Agent project within Alibaba Cloud. On June 10, prior to the announcement, the group's Partner Committee responded to a former employee's disclosure of DingTalk's high-pressure management in a controversial internal post titled "Inside DingTalk," stating that DingTalk's management style is "not in line with Alibaba's culture".
After returning to DingTalk in 2025, Chen Hang continued to promote the AI transformation with the high-pressure management style from the early days of the startup, triggering employee accusations in the lengthy post, claiming that Chen Hang enforced strict attendance and conducted early morning checks. The Alibaba Partner Committee emphasized in its response that progress should not be achieved at the expense of employees or by suppressing the culture.
Chen Yushen, the successor, is a tech-savvy serial entrepreneur. At the age of 22, he co-founded the cybersecurity company, Chaitin Tech, which was later acquired by Alibaba Cloud. After joining the Alibaba Group, Chen Yushen initiated the AI Agent project MuleRun within Alibaba Cloud in 2025, becoming a key new-generation manager nurtured by the group.
