According to Insight Beating monitoring, Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas stated in an interview with CNBC that regardless of how OpenAI and Anthropic perform in their IPOs, the company plans to go public in 2028. Srinivas noted that Perplexity's IPO plan is independent of these two companies, and the 2028 listing target remains unchanged.
Prior to Srinivas's statement, both OpenAI and Anthropic had submitted confidential IPO applications to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, while Elon Musk's SpaceX also plans to go public later this week. Srinivas believes that SpaceX's IPO performance will serve as a leading indicator of whether OpenAI and Anthropic can successfully IPO. If these two giants face setbacks in their IPOs, it will have a ripple effect on the entire AI industry.
