The Dark Side of the Moon (Kimi) is planning to raise $2 billion in funding at a $30 billion valuation, as it dismantles its offshore structure in preparation for a Hong Kong IPO.

BlockBeats News, June 8, according to Bloomberg, Moonshot AI is seeking a new round of funding of up to $20 billion, which could push the startup's valuation to $300 billion. This means it is initiating its third round of funding within six months to keep up with China's increasingly fierce artificial intelligence competition.

The company behind the Kimi chatbot has already had preliminary discussions with potential investors, planning to raise over $10 billion, sources revealed.

These discussions come as Moonshot AI is about to complete a funding round led by Meituan, after which the company's valuation will reach $200 billion.

If Moonshot ultimately achieves its latest funding target, its valuation will increase by about 7 times from the level exceeding $40 billion in December this year.
