BlockBeats News, June 4th, Goldman Sachs announced a partnership with the fund service provider Apex Group, the digital asset exchange Archax, the infrastructure provider Ownera, and the real estate investment management company LRC Group to launch a blockchain-native real estate fund, further driving the tokenization of Real World Assets (RWA).
The fund adopts a combination of traditional fund structure and blockchain-native issuance, with fund shares being tokenized through Goldman Sachs' blockchain platform GS DAP. LRC Group serves as the fund manager, Archax is responsible for regulated digital securities custody and acts as the first distribution partner, while Ownera is in charge of connecting all parties and distribution channels.
Matthew McDermott, Global Head of Digital Assets at Goldman Sachs, stated that issuing blockchain-native fund shares via GS DAP can allow for more precise investment in real estate assets and create conditions for easier share transfers in the future.
The market believes that as traditional financial institutions accelerate their efforts, the tokenization of real-world assets such as real estate is gradually transitioning from conceptual exploration to practical application.
