According to DynaInsight Beating monitoring, xAI has announced that its terminal programming AI agent, Grok Build (Beta), is now officially open to all SuperGrok and X Premium+ subscribers. Developers can now debug, modify, and refactor code using natural language in their local terminals via the official command-line interface. Previously, access to the beta was limited to flagship SuperGrok Heavy subscribers paying $300 per month.
As a terminal tool designed for professional software engineering, Grok Build introduces a Plan Mode workflow, where it analyzes the project globally and generates a detailed implementation plan for user review before executing any code changes. The tool natively supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and multi-agent collaborative parallelism at the core and allows headless mode operation in a non-graphical interactive environment. Developers can also directly invoke Imagine's image and video generation capabilities in the CLI interface, enabling the building of automation tasks or workflow orchestration.
