The U.S. bank disclosed a holding of nearly $53.1 million in a cryptocurrency ETF, with holdings in IBIT worth around $37 million.

BlockBeats News, May 23. In its 2026 Q1 13F filing submitted to the U.S. SEC, Bank of America revealed that it currently holds nearly $53.1 million worth of cryptocurrency ETFs and crypto-related stock positions, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana-related ETFs.

Among them, Bank of America holds approximately 972,600 shares of the BNY Mellon Spot Bitcoin ETF IBIT, valued at around $37 million, as its largest single crypto ETF holding. Additionally, it also holds around $7.98 million of Bitwise BITB, $3.32 million of Grayscale Bitcoin Mini ETF, and $1.71 million of Fidelity FBTC. In terms of Ethereum, Bank of America holds around $1.06 million of the BNY Mellon ETHA ETF.

In addition to ETFs, the filing also shows that Bank of America holds stock in crypto-related public companies such as Coinbase, Galaxy Digital, Robinhood, Circle, and SoFi. The market believes that traditional financial institutions continue to expand their indirect exposure to the digital asset market through ETFs and stocks, further strengthening the trend towards institutionalization.
