US Court Denies Kalshi's and Polymarket's Request to Dismiss Lawsuit in Nevada and Washington

BlockBeats News, May 22nd, according to Bloomberg, the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Kalshi and Polymarket cannot stop enforcement lawsuits by Nevada and Washington against the prediction market platforms from proceeding in state courts.

The court stated that Kalshi and Polymarket failed to demonstrate that defending themselves in state court would result in "irreparable harm" and did not show a high likelihood of success on their claim of federal court jurisdiction, thus rejecting their request to pause the related state-level litigation.
