President Trump Hopes to End Iran Conflict "Very quickly"

BlockBeats News, May 20th - Yesterday at the White House, U.S. President Trump expressed his hope to end the Iran conflict "very quickly." Trump said, "We will end this war very quickly. They (Iran) will not have nuclear weapons. Hopefully, we can resolve this in a very dignified way."

Trump also stated that Iran "eagerly wants to reach an agreement and has grown tired of this conflict." Over the past period, Trump has repeatedly mentioned that the Iran conflict is nearing its end.

Furthermore, this morning, the WSJ cited U.S. officials familiar with the region's mediation and the relevant terms, stating that Iran's position in the negotiation with the U.S. to end the war has not significantly changed compared to previous rounds that did not make progress, raising doubts about whether a "way out" of the conflict can be found.

The mediators pointed out that Iran still insists on its core demands, including ending the hostile state, obtaining economic relief, compensation for the war losses, and playing a supervisory role in the strategic waterway of the Strait of Hormuz. In addition, there are still significant differences between Iran and the U.S. on the issue of the U.S. demanding Iran to close or suspend its nuclear program for an extended period.
