According to Dynamic Insight by Beating, the Alibaba Thousand Whys team quietly launched the first preview of the Qwen3.7 series, named Max and Plus, on chat.qwen.ai. The new version is locked into a deep thought mode, temporarily disabling online search and code interpreter functionalities.
In the latest Large Model Arena leaderboard, Qwen3.7 secured the top domestic spots in both text and vision fields.
The flagship model, Qwen3.7-Max-Preview, ranks 13th globally in the overall text leaderboard, elevating Alibaba Lab's text research and development to the 6th spot worldwide. The new model made a comprehensive entry into the global top ten in hardcore reasoning competitions: 7th in mathematics, 9th in expert hints and software IT, and 10th in code generation.
The vision-focused Qwen3.7-Plus-Preview claimed the 16th spot in the global vision leaderboard, pushing Alibaba's overall vision research and development strength to 5th in the world.
The previous flagship, Qwen3.6-Max-Preview, was only released on April 20th. Just 28 days later, the Qwen3.7 preview was launched, showcasing a rapid product iteration speed. This early launch ahead of the upcoming conference is undoubtedly building momentum for the 2026 Alibaba Cloud Summit to be held in Hangzhou on May 20th, where the official unveiling of the new model's technical capabilities and commercial deployment will take place.
