A certain prediction market regulator organization ran a six-figure ad campaign ahead of the U.S. Senate hearing

BlockBeats News, May 18th, according to NBC News, an organization calling itself a prediction market "watchdog" FairPredicts is launching a six-figure USD advertising campaign in the Washington, D.C. area, covering digital media and outdoor advertising, to coincide with this week's Senate Commerce Committee hearing on prediction markets and gambling expansion.

The organization is primarily targeting prediction market platforms such as Kalshi, criticizing their lack of market transparency and trading fairness, and highlighting the insider trading risks associated with sports betting and political intelligence trading advantages.

The hearing is led by a Senate committee focusing on issues such as enhancing market regulation, safeguarding competition integrity, and addressing the impact of prediction markets on the youth demographic. Several industry and regulatory representatives will be in attendance, including officials from the American Gaming Association and state regulatory bodies.

As prediction markets and sports betting rapidly expand in the United States, related platforms are increasing their lobbying efforts and advertising spending. Regulatory disputes are escalating, with market fairness and information asymmetry becoming a key policy focus.
