Iran Calls for Permanent End to Hostilities and Removal of All Sanctions, U.S. Shows Flexibility on Nuclear Limits

BlockBeats News, May 18th - According to Reuters, citing a senior Iranian official, Iran has submitted a revised proposal calling for a permanent end to the war, lifting of sanctions on Iran, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran plans to discuss the nuclear issue in subsequent stages.

The source said that the U.S. currently only agrees to unfreeze about 25% of Iran's frozen funds on a phased schedule, while Iran is requesting the unfreezing of all funds by the U.S. In addition, the U.S. has shown some flexibility in the current negotiations, including a softer stance on the issue of restricting Iran's nuclear activities.
