Iran Proposes Long-Term Multi-Phase Ceasefire, Allowing Unconditional Transfer of Enriched Uranium to Russia

BlockBeats News, May 18th, according to Al Arabiya: Iran's latest proposal shows that Iran is seeking to achieve a long and multi-phased ceasefire agreement. Iran is requesting the gradual and secure opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran is willing to freeze its nuclear program for an extended period rather than dismantle it completely. Iran can unconditionally transfer enriched uranium to Russia instead of the United States. Additionally, Iran hopes to incorporate political wording into the agreement to preserve its "dignity."

At the same time, Iran hopes that Pakistan and Oman will play a role in any friction in the Strait of Hormuz. The proposal also indicates that Iran is seeking to replace compensation with economic facilitation measures. Iran also wishes to separate maritime routes from the complexity of the nuclear issue and ultimately receive multiple international guarantees for any potential agreement.
