The US-China-UAE Law Enforcement Joint Task Force has carried out the first-ever joint operation to crack down on a Dubai-based telefraud gang, which is suspected of scamming victims through a high-yield cryptocurrency scheme.

BlockBeats News, May 17th - It was reported by the Ministry of Public Security of China that recently, for the first time, the police forces of China, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates carried out international law enforcement cooperation to jointly combat telecom fraud crimes in the Dubai area. They successfully raided 9 fraud dens and arrested 276 criminal suspects. Investigation showed that the related fraud gangs established "romantic" relationships with victims through social platforms, gained their emotional trust, and then lured them to invest in so-called high-return cryptocurrency projects, leading to the victims being deceived.

A relevant person in charge of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security stated that this joint operation is an important achievement of China's law enforcement cooperation with other countries. The Chinese police will deepen practical cooperation with more countries, carry out joint operations, resolutely eradicate telecom fraud dens, vigorously arrest suspects involved in telecom fraud, and effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of people in all countries.
