Aave Proposes Restructuring of Bug Bounty Program, Core Aave V3 Maximum Bounty to Increase to $5 million

BlockBeats News, May 15th, Aave Labs has proposed a restructuring of the Aave DAO bug bounty system, splitting various protocol modules into multiple independent bounty programs to be separately managed by Immunefi, Sherlock, and Cantina. As part of this proposal, the maximum bounty for a critical vulnerability in Aave V4 is set to be increased from $500,000 to $2.5 million, while the maximum bounty for a critical vulnerability in the core version of Aave V3 is set to be increased from $1 million to $5 million.

The proposal also plans to transfer the responsibility of the Aave V3 on Aptos bug bounty funds from Aave Labs to the Aave DAO and to evaluate the effectiveness of a multi-platform parallel operating model over the next 6 to 12 months.
