According to Dynamix Beating monitoring, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced that within the next 30 days, for enterprises interested in switching to Codex, OpenAI will directly grant two months of full Enterprise Edition usage for free.
This promotional move was timed impeccably. On the very same day, rival Anthropic just unbundled third-party Agent tool calls from the Claude subscription pool to charge separately, sparking community criticism of "veiled downgrades."
At the end of last month, OpenAI had just waived the seat fee for the Codex Business Edition. Now, taking advantage of the competitor's usage restrictions, they are offering a straight two-month waiver, attempting to aggressively win over enterprise teams that may be wavering due to the competitor's price hike. Currently, enterprises can submit an application form through the OpenAI website or directly redeem this benefit using a promotional code from partnered channels (such as Stripe Atlas).
