Grok opens up custom "Skills" for power users, enabling one-click import of skills.md to transform into a persistent workspace

According to Perceive Beating monitoring, following the opening of the connector feature to all users, xAI has further introduced a "Skills" system for advanced automation tasks on grok.com. This feature is currently only available to SuperGrok and SuperGrok Heavy paid users, allowing them to configure Grok to perform actions such as editing files in a dedicated sandbox environment (an isolated virtual machine).

This system's launch marks Grok's transition from a one-time chat tool to a customizable persistent workspace. Users can use the built-in Skill Creator to autonomously develop custom skills and instantly invoke corresponding abilities in a conversation by using natural language commands like "use [Skill Name] skill and perform...".
