BlockBeats News, May 12th, Binance Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Rachel Conlan will be leaving the company on June 15th, ending her approximately three-year tenure. Binance stated that Trust Wallet's former CEO, Eowyn Chen, will serve as interim CMO, while Rachel Conlan will continue to act as an advisor during the transition period.
Rachel Conlan officially became Binance CMO in September 2023, having previously led global brand and partnership efforts at OKX. During her tenure, she drove various Binance brand marketing initiatives, including the launch of a perfume product called "Crypto (Eau de Binance)" during the 2024 International Women's Day.
A Binance spokesperson stated that Conlan "has left a lasting impact on the company," and her departure is primarily due to personal matters.
Currently, the overall marketing investment in the crypto industry is showing a cooling-off trend. Recently, Crypto.com CMO Steven Kalifowitz also announced his departure, while Bybit CEO Ben Zhou stated that they will not renew the F1 sponsorship agreement and are seeking marketing partnerships with "higher business value."
Over the past few years, Binance has collaborated with various high-traffic IPs such as Cristiano Ronaldo, The Weeknd, Alpine F1 Team, and internet sensation Khaby Lame, establishing itself as one of the industry's major players in large-scale brand marketing.
