U.S. Energy Inflation in April Remains Elevated Year-on-Year

BlockBeats News, May 12th, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the seasonally adjusted energy inflation in the U.S. for April increased by 3.8% month-on-month, compared to 10.9% growth in March; among them, the inflation of energy commodities increased by 5.6% month-on-month, previously at 21.3%, gasoline inflation increased by 5.4%, previously at 21.2%, and fuel oil inflation increased by 5.8%, previously at 30.7%.


In April, the unadjusted energy inflation year-on-year increased by 17.9%, compared to 12.5% growth in March; among them, the year-on-year inflation of energy commodities increased by 29.2%, gasoline inflation increased by 28.4% year-on-year, and fuel oil inflation increased by 54.3% year-on-year.
