The U.S. Senate Banking Committee will mark up the CLARITY Act on May 14.

BlockBeats News, May 9th, Crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett revealed that the U.S. Senate Banking Committee has formally decided to hold a committee hearing on the Cryptocurrency Market Structure Bill (known as the CLARITY Act) on May 14th at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time. This marks a key step in the legislative process.

Currently, the Senate Banking Committee has distributed draft text to some industry members, which is still being finalized and is expected to incorporate feedback from the Democratic office. Committee members will vote on the bill text and all proposed amendments. If this section is approved, it will be merged with the content handled by the Senate Agriculture Committee to form a complete bill text, which will then be submitted for a full Senate vote. The crypto industry broadly sees this as a significant development and looks forward to clarifying the regulatory framework through the bill to drive certainty in the U.S. digital asset market.
