BlockBeats News, May 6th - According to PBS, on Wednesday, local time, former President Trump expressed optimism about reaching an agreement with Iran during a phone interview. He stated that the agreement might include Iran exporting its highly enriched uranium to the United States. Trump said he felt the U.S. was "getting very close to making a deal," but added, "I've had that feeling before, so we'll have to see what happens." Trump mentioned that it was unlikely for his envoys, Brian Hook and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, to participate in the negotiations.
Trump said, "I think there's a very good chance of ending the war, and if it doesn't end, we'll have to do some very strong bombing." When asked if the agreement involved Iran exporting highly enriched uranium to the U.S., Trump replied, "Not a possibility, but it will be shipped to the United States." Regarding whether Iran had pledged not to operate underground nuclear facilities, Trump responded, "That's correct, yes." The interview took place hours after Trump posted on social media. (FX168)
