BlockBeats News, May 5th. According to The Wall Street Journal, "The Big Short" Michael Burry has liquidated his holdings in GameStop (GME.N). This came after GameStop announced its acquisition of eBay (EBAY.O).
Burry stated on Monday that his previous investment thesis, which aimed to transform GameStop into a Berkshire Hathaway-style company through acquisitions, was not compatible with the large-scale debt financing required for the eBay acquisition. Therefore, he chose to exit his investment.
According to Bitget market data, GameStop fell 10.14% on Monday to $23.84.
