Trump: to Depart Monday Aiding Some Stranded Ships out of Strait of Hormuz

BlockBeats News, May 4th - President Trump announced on Sunday on social media that the US will start guiding some stranded neutral ships out of the Strait of Hormuz starting from Monday. US representatives are engaged in "very active discussions" with the Iranian side, which could potentially lead to a result that is "very favorable to all parties," but he did not disclose more details.

Trump stated, "This action is purely to rescue those who are completely innocent - people, companies, and countries who are victims of the situation." He also mentioned that if this humanitarian action faces any form of interference, the US will unfortunately have to respond with force.

According to a senior US official, this new initiative, referred to by Trump as the "Freedom Plan," aims to allow various countries, insurance companies, and shipping organizations to coordinate the passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. The official stated that at present, the plan does not involve US Navy warships escorting the ships through the strait.
