Iranian Foreign Ministry: Expecting Swift Iran-US Negotiations to Reach Outcome Not Realistic

BlockBeats News, May 1st. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei said that it is not realistic to expect Iran and the United States to quickly reach a negotiated settlement. Baghaei stated that in the 47 years since the Islamic Revolution victory in Iran, Iran has accumulated deep mistrust and suspicion of US actions.

He emphasized that one should not expect the negotiations to yield results in a short period of time, stating, "After all, this is an extremely bloody war." He pointed out that the United States and Israel are "extremely cruel," as evidenced by the conflicts in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon over the past two and a half years.

Baghaei said, "In this situation, no matter who the mediator is, it is unrealistic to expect an agreement to be reached in a short period of time." (CCTV)
