Stripe and Cloudflare enable self-serve onboarding and card deployment for the Programmable Agent, with users only needing to log in

According to Dynamic Watch Beating's monitoring, Stripe and Cloudflare have jointly launched Stripe Projects, an open protocol that enables an AI programming agent to autonomously complete the end-to-end process of "from zero to online." Users only need to log in to their Stripe account, and the agent can automatically create a Cloudflare account, purchase a domain name, subscribe to paid services, obtain an API token, and deploy code without manual registration, credit card entry, or key copying.

The protocol is divided into three layers.

Discovery: The agent queries the available service catalog via a REST API and decides which ones to use.

Authorization: Stripe acts as the identity provider, and once Cloudflare receives identity proof from Stripe, it automatically opens an account or goes through OAuth authorization for existing accounts. The credentials are encrypted, stored, and then returned to the agent.

Payment: Stripe tokenizes the user's payment information and transmits it to the service provider, ensuring that the credit card number does not pass through the agent. Stripe sets a default $100/month consumption cap per service provider to prevent overspending. The protocol is based on existing standards such as OAuth, OIDC, and payment tokenization.

The initial group of service providers, in addition to Cloudflare, includes Vercel, Supabase, Clerk, PostHog, Sentry, PlanetScale, Inngest, and others. The protocol is open: any platform with logged-in users can act as an Orchestrator and integrate with Cloudflare or other service providers in the same way. Cloudflare is also offering $100,000 in credits to newly established companies registered through Stripe Atlas.
