Musk Arrives at Court for Hearing on Lawsuit Against OpenAI

BlockBeats News, April 28th: Musk has arrived at the Oakland Federal Court in California to attend a hearing for his lawsuit against OpenAI.

Previously reported, Musk accused Altman and Brockman of promising to keep OpenAI non-profit when they founded it in 2015, inducing his $38 million investment. However, OpenAI later converted to a for-profit structure. Musk is claiming up to $134 billion in damages, stating that the compensation will all be returned to OpenAI's non-profit part, and is seeking the removal of Altman and Brockman and the reversal of the for-profit conversion. The presiding judge is Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, and the liability phase is expected to last until mid-May, with both sides scheduled to testify in court.
