According to Perseus Beating monitoring, the DarkSide of the Moon flagship model Kimi K2.6 topped the OpenRouter Weekly LLM Ranking this week with a usage of 1.88 trillion tokens, representing a staggering 7683% weekly increase. The model was listed on OpenRouter on April 20th and quickly surpassed the long-standing top two models, Claude Sonnet 4.6 (1.35T) and DeepSeek V3.2 (1.24T).
Among the top ten, Anthropic holds three positions: Claude Sonnet 4.6 in second place (1.35T, ↓3%), Claude Opus 4.7 in fourth place (1.17T, ↑180%), and Claude Opus 4.6 in ninth place (662B, ↓42%). Opus 4.7 experienced the second-largest growth this week, almost tripling its usage. Google Gemini 3 Flash Preview ranks fifth (1.03T, ↓11%), while Leapstar Step 3.5 Flash (762B, ↑78%) and NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super free (656B, ↑25%) also saw significant increases.
The OpenRouter ranking is based on each model's actual token consumption on the platform, reflecting developers' real API-level invocation preferences.
