After the AI assessment company Gentrace shut down, two co-founders successively joined Anthropic.

According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, Doug Safreno, Co-founder and CEO of AI testing and observability tool company Gentrace, announced his joining Anthropic on X. Gentrace helped enterprises test and monitor LLM output quality, had previously raised an $8 million Series A round led by Matrix ($14 million total funding), and shut down at the end of last year.

Safreno stated that Co-founder and CTO Vivek Nair had already joined Anthropic. Nair and a friend at Anthropic, Yongxing Deng, convinced him to follow suit, citing Anthropic's pace and values.
