BlockBeats News, April 25th - According to Iran's Mehr News Agency, Iranian Islamic Parliament member Behnam Saeidi said on the 25th that Iran has developed a comprehensive plan for managing the Strait of Hormuz. Saeidi said in an interview with Mehr News Agency that a key aspect of this plan is to only recognize the name "Persian Gulf" in all letters and commercial documents, rejecting any other name. Vessels navigating through the region must obtain permission from Iran. Iran will have full sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
He also mentioned that vessels identified as hostile by Iran's Supreme National Security Council or the Armed Forces General Staff are not allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and Israeli vessels are strictly prohibited from passing through the area. Vessels passing through the area must pay relevant fees for security, environmental protection, maritime management, and permits, with a preference for payment in rials. (Xinhua News Agency)
