Google rebrands Jules as an end-to-end product development platform, opens new version waiting list

According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, Google's Jules team has announced the opening of a new version of the waiting list. Jules's role has been upgraded from the previous asynchronous encoding agent to an "end-to-end agentic product development platform," officially described as: understanding the entire product context, determining what to build next, proposing a solution, and then submitting a PR.

Prior to this, Jules operated as an asynchronous encoding agent with GitHub integration, where users would assign specific coding tasks to the agent, which would then execute them in the background and submit the code. The change in the new version is that the agent no longer just performs given tasks but actively understands the product landscape and decides what to do.
