Trump: 'Good News' on Iran Talks Could Come as Soon as Friday

BlockBeats News, April 22, according to the New York Post report, U.S. President Trump and Pakistani officials revealed on Wednesday that the "good news" regarding a second round of talks between the U.S. and Iran may emerge as early as Friday.

A Pakistani official stated that active mediation efforts with Iran have once again raised the possibility of further peace talks taking place in the "next 36 to 72 hours." When asked about this potential breakthrough, Trump replied via text message, "It's possible!"

Previously, Trump indicated that he would extend the ceasefire agreement until the Iranian leadership could present a "unified proposal." In the hours that followed, Pakistan continued to engage with Iran through diplomatic channels. A Pakistani source indicated that this timeline was based on an assessment of the ongoing work.
