BlockBeats News, April 20th - According to Politico, the UAE's Minister of State reported on Sunday that during the first 40 days of the US-Iran war, the country had been hit by over 2,800 missiles and drones, with more than 90% of the targets being civilian infrastructure.
The UAE's Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem Al Hashimy, stated on Sunday morning local time that Iran is attempting to destroy the UAE's "model of prosperity and tolerance." When asked about agreeing with Trump's assessment of a regime change in Iran, Hashimy expressed doubts about whether there has been a substantive change in Iran's leadership.
"I know there have been changes in personnel. There are currently different figures in place," she said. "But how does that change the nature of the Revolutionary Guard? That remains to be seen — but it doesn't look very promising at the moment." When asked if she is concerned about Trump's threats, Hashimy stated that the UAE sees "maximum pressure" as necessary for progress, while warning against attacks on civilians. (FXStreet)
