The temporary ceasefire is set to expire on Wednesday. Trump says the US and Iran will resume talks, while Iranian media reports a refusal to negotiate.

BlockBeats News, April 20th. Regarding US President Trump's statement on April 19th that the US and Iran are about to resume talks in Islamabad, Iranian officials have not yet formally responded. The Iranian state news agency, IRNA, posted on social media, stating, "Iran refuses to hold a second round of talks with the United States."

Iranian public opinion believes that, amidst the ongoing US naval blockade, Trump's announcement is a "psychological warfare" tactic aimed at pressuring Iran. Analysts point out that Iran is preparing for all possible scenarios:

According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency on April 19th, Iran is prepared for a reignition of hostilities and, if necessary, will make the enemy experience an unforgettable "moment of hellfire";

On the other hand, Iran is also ready to engage in the negotiation process while maintaining its demands. The US-Iran temporary ceasefire, lasting two weeks, is set to expire on Wednesday morning, April 22nd, Beijing time.

Analysts emphasize that the situation in the coming days is crucial as it will determine whether all parties return to the negotiation table, extend the ceasefire, or witness a resurgence of conflict and hostilities. (Jinse)
