Islamabad Security Heightened as Plane Carrying US Personnel Arrives in Pakistan

BlockBeats News, April 19th. Local security in the Pakistani capital Islamabad was tightened, with some shops closed and partial traffic restrictions. Security forces around several hotels in the area have been strengthened. Pakistani officials said that on the same day, three planes carrying American personnel landed at the Nur Khan Air Base. Currently, shops on both sides of the road connecting Islamabad and the Nur Khan Air Base have been closed, and security forces such as the military and police have been enhanced around several major hotels in the city. At the same time, guests at the Serena Hotel, where the previous US-Iran negotiation took place, and its nearby Marriott Hotel were notified to check out on that day. (Xinhua News Agency)
