Iranian Foreign Ministry: Iran Refuses to Transport Enriched Uranium Abroad

BlockBeats News, April 18th, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that Iran has never considered transferring enriched uranium to the United States as an option. He does not support the US officials and their media's proposals on the Iran nuclear issue.

Baghaei mentioned that compensating Iran for its losses is a crucial topic in the Iran-US negotiations. The previous round of talks clarified the consensus and bottom line of all parties, and there is currently no ambiguity in the negotiation topics. On the same day, US President Trump, in a media interview, said the US would extract enriched uranium deeply buried in Iranian nuclear facility ruins and bring it back to the US.

An Iranian official stated that Iran and the US are drafting a memorandum of understanding to outline the overall framework for the final permanent peace agreement. The official expressed optimism about signing the memorandum during the upcoming negotiations in Pakistan in the next few days.

He also mentioned that the memorandum establishes a 60-day follow-up negotiation window to facilitate reaching a final agreement.
