BlockBeats News, April 17th, President Trump stated in a phone interview on Friday that Iran has agreed to indefinitely suspend its nuclear program and will not receive any unfrozen funds from the United States.
Trump said that the agreement to end the war between the U.S. and Israel with Iran, which began at the end of February, is now mostly finalized. He mentioned that negotiations for a lasting agreement "may" take place over the weekend. "Most key points have been settled. This will move very quickly."
Iran has not commented on any agreement besides the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, nor have they responded to Trump's claim on Thursday that Iran has made concessions (including on the key issue of its nuclear program).
Trump mentioned that he has not yet decided who will lead the U.S. delegation to negotiate with Iranian officials to sign the agreement. When asked if he would go to Pakistan, Trump said, "I might." Furthermore, Trump denied that the suspension period of Iran's nuclear program would expire after 20 years. When asked if the program would cease entirely, Trump replied, "There's no timeline, indefinite."
