Tether Introduces Self-Custody Digital Wallet tether.wallet

BlockBeats News, April 14th, according to official sources, Tether today announced the launch of tether.wallet, a self-custodial digital wallet that brings Tether's global financial infrastructure directly to users' hands.

With the launch of tether.wallet, the fund distribution network is opening directly to end-users for the first time. This release marks Tether's further extension in building an open financial system and expanding its capabilities into products for everyday use.

At the initial release, tether.wallet supports the following assets and networks:

USDT: Supports Ethereum, Polygon, Plasma, and Arbitrum;
XAUT: Supports Ethereum, Polygon, Plasma, and Arbitrum;
USAT: Supports Ethereum;
Bitcoin: Supports both on-chain transactions and the Lightning Network.

After the initial release, the wallet will integrate with more blockchains. The app will automatically display available networks and asset balances, abstracting the underlying complexity of the infrastructure for user experience.
