ZachXBT: Fake Ledger Live App on Apple App Store Recently Led to 50+ Victims Losing $9.5M

BlockBeats News, April 14th, Crypto detective ZachXBT posted on his personal channel that, according to a community alert, a fake Ledger Live app on the Apple App Store has resulted in over 50 suspected victims losing $9.5 million between April 7th and 13th, involving Bitcoin, EVM chains, Solana, and Ripple.

The stolen funds were laundered through over 150 KuCoin deposit addresses associated with a centralized mixing service called AudiA6, which charges high fees to launder illicit funds.

Apple removed the fake app yesterday. The top three victims of the theft each lost a seven-figure sum.
