Joint Maritime Blockade! US Plans Blocking of the Strait of Hormuz

BlockBeats News, April 14. According to The Atlantic, military officials said the formal blockade of the Strait of Hormuz will first involve the use of air power. The blockade aims to prevent Iranian vessels and any other vessels from Iranian ports from entering the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea through the strait.

At least two aircraft carrier strike groups or land-based air force units will be assigned to provide cover for the naval forces responsible for monitoring the waterway. The P-8 "Poseidon" patrol aircraft will be responsible for monitoring the waters and engaging maritime targets, while the E-2 "Hawkeye" early warning aircraft will fly above the fleet to detect threats and other aircraft. Additionally, the United States will deploy a large number of drones to the strait area.
