According to 1M AI News monitoring, Meta is developing an AI version of CEO Mark Zuckerberg to interact with employees. The Financial Times, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported that the project is part of Meta's broader Metaverse AI 3D avatar initiative, which allows such avatars to engage in real-time conversations with users, with Zuckerberg's AI avatar being listed as a priority project.
Zuckerberg himself has been personally involved in the training and testing of this AI avatar. The avatar has been trained based on his behavioral patterns, speaking style, public statements, and his latest thoughts on the company's strategy, and once completed, it will provide conversations and feedback to employees. With over 70,000 employees worldwide, an AI avatar emulating the CEO's style could theoretically extend his "presence" throughout the entire organization.
This project is one of the products of Meta's multibillion-dollar investment in AI development over the past year. Zuckerberg has previously defined the company's goal as building "personal superintelligence" to narrow the gap with OpenAI and Google in the cutting-edge AI field.
