BlockBeats News, April 12th, American musician G.Love stated that during the process of changing his computer and reconfiguring his Ledger hardware wallet, he mistakenly downloaded a malicious fake app from the Apple App Store, resulting in approximately 5.92 bitcoins being transferred out in a short period of time.
On-chain detective ZachXBT subsequently reported that the stolen funds' flow had been traced, and the related assets had been transferred through a path involving a CEX deposit address. ZachXBT also questioned Apple's App Store review mechanism, stating that the platform's allowance of fake apps to be listed exacerbates the security risks to user assets.
